Get Smart in School When You Learn Windows®Schools everywhere are moving into the technology age and adopting a Windows friendly policy. It’s not just for the students, using Windows technology in school has been shown to actually help improve the education process. Programs like Microsoft® PowerPoint®, Word and Excel® let students and faculty members create a range of different projects, from training seminars and class projects to PowerPoint slide presentations wtih audio and graphic displays. If you haven’t already, it’s time to learn Windows. Schools are also using Windows Media® to stream cable television into classrooms. This saves the school board money so spending can go other places, like books and safety. Windows multimedia is quickly growing and being used in a multitude of different schools and universities, so the time to learn Windows has arrived. Learning in a Smart ClassroomThe idea of a smart classroom is a new concept to many of us from older generations, but classrooms today that are considered Smart are equipped with:
Children who learn in a Smart environment are shown to have increased classroom involvement, and teachers have reported an increase in productivity. Students who learn Windows at an early age make better use of computer programs later on in life and use Windows multimedia as a learning tool more often in their studies. Both parents and school officials agree that having children learn Windows at a young age is important. "We believe it’s very important that our students from pre-kindergarten all the way through high school have as many opportunities as we can provide for experiences with not just technology, but cutting-edge technology," said John Fuller, a school superintendent from Texas. What Does a Transformed Education Look Like? What does technology in the classroom mean for a student’s learning process? Many schools’ faculty are excited as their students learn Windows multimedia classroom integration. It gives students a more hands-on approach to learning. The days of chalk and the chalkboard are slowly being overtaken by interactive, digital projection displays. With a more colorful and more exciting approach to the main school subjects of science, math, English and foreign language, students are engaged and, therefore, more responsive. “It actually makes learning fun. We still have homework, only now I want to do it,” said John, 14, Middlebury, Conn. Children who learn Windows in school and use the technology at home are shown to be more interested and more engaged by the classroom curriculum. For those skeptics who think that traditional teaching methods should not be toyed with, students who learn Windows and are taught in Smart classrooms show a 25 percent increase in productivity and test scores. Create Lesson Plans When You Learn Windows and Windows MultimediaAs an educator, learning Windows will give you a world of information at your fingertips. You can create your lesson plans using the various Microsoft programs. You can have fun searching the Internet and creating your interactive lesson plan, and your students will have fun learning and interacting with you. Windows multimedia can help you open up a new world for your students. Children react well to visual stimulation and teaching children at a young age with pictures, music and animated presentations will help set them on the right track towards positive school participation. Teachers notice when their students are more involved. With fewer absences, better homework, more raised hands and smiles, teachers know when they are doing something right, and when they are doing something wrong. In surveys from schools using Smart classrooms and interactive computer technologies, teachers have reported a decrease in student absences and an increase in student participation. It isn’t hard to see that when students learn Windows and use Windows multimedia in the classroom, students are more productive and engaged. It is something that can no longer be ignored. With kids continuing to drop out of high school before graduation and falling test scores across the country, Windows multimedia in the classroom could be the educational dynamite that teachers need. For many years now, schools have wanted to find a program or lesson plan that promotes student response and actually get kids excited about learning. Children who learn Windows at home or in school bring those computer skills into other parts of their lives. Whether for social or educational purposes, new technology is something to be embraced, not shunned. It is time for children everywhere to learn Windows. |
